Bio:

My professional career so far has been characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. During my studies in Cologne and afterwards as an assistant in Mannheim, I mainly dealt with general business administration, business organization theory and applied computer science - but also with sociology and philosophy of science. Parallel to this, I turned more and more to business informatics - which is also expressed in the topic of my dissertation ("Expert Systems - New Automation Potentials in the Office and Administration Sector").

After receiving my doctorate, I worked - first at GMD with an intermezzo at an IBM research facility in California, then in Koblenz - in an environment that is essentially shaped by computer science. In Essen, too, I represent a computer science-related business informatics, but at the same time I am happy about a lively exchange with business research groups.

The main focus of my work is multi-perspective enterprise modeling. My further research interests correspond to the topics presented for my research group. To summarize them once again at this point:
