About the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE)

The University of Duisburg-Essen was founded on January 1, 2003, through the merger of the Gerhard Mercator University of Duisburg and the University of Essen. With around 40,000 students from 130 nations, it is one of the ten largest German universities and has a broad, internationally oriented range of subjects.

It offers more than 240 bachelor's and master's degree programs.
